I’m home from San Francisco, and this morning I stepped on the scale with some trepidation. Alas, it was for no reason, because the scale said 194.7! That means I lost a whopping 3.1 pounds from Tuesday to Saturday this week, just following a paleo diet and keeping myself active. I’m incredibly excited. My goal is to be 185 by my wedding, which would be a total weight loss of 30 pounds. I have 6 weeks remaining before the wedding and still have 9.7 pounds to lose. If I can lose 1.6 pounds per week until then, I will hit the goal. That is just amazing.
I’m at 19.7 total pounds lost now, which is SO CLOSE to that 20 pound mark. I feel like I’ll hit it tomorrow or the next day, though we’re going out for tasty steak dinner for my birthday tonight. I won’t cheat, but I know I’ll eat a lot of steak. =) I’ve gotten a lot of “what the heck IS Paleo?” questions, so to answer that I’ll just leave this little link right here. It’s one of the better introductions that explains it all in plain English, with a bit of humor, and also addresses the criticisms of the paleo lifestyle.
Today we took the dogs to the dog park and it was nice, except my beasts started a fight with a shy little dachshund and we ended up having to put them back on the leash and walk them around Balboa Park instead. It was a nice breezy cool day and it felt good to be outside. I’m contemplating going for a run right now, in fact! Tomorrow I register for and attend CrossFit, and I am excited.---------------
