Well, my wedding has come and gone and it was a beautiful day. Everything went shockingly perfect. The weather was gorgeous, the food was great, no one was late for the ceremony, I looked beautiful and as did all my guests. It was so great to have everyone come together all in the same place, and it was a nice housewarming event as well. I can’t thank everyone enough for all their help in making our special day so memorable.
On the weight loss front, last week was basically a wash for me. We stopped eating keto, which was brought on by a cold 4 days before our wedding which required fighting with lots of orange juice and zinc. I tried to not gorge myself on food and managed to mostly behave myself over the weekend (though I did have a grande Frappucino one day) despite it being my wedding and being surrounded by temptation. On Monday, I resumed my diet though I switched to calorie counting rather than keto. I want to try something different because I have found myself running out of energy on days where I exercise and we can’t have that!
I also got back into Couch to 5k on Monday, and today I just finished Week 6 Day 2 which required two 10 minute runs separated by a 3 minute walk. I’m rather terrified for Friday’s run since it’s 25 minutes straight! I figure if I could do 20 I can do 25, but 20 was just so difficult and I can’t imagine continuing for another 5 minutes. I also had a fantastic ride on my horse yesterday (which burned 504 calories!) but today my body is sore all over from not having ridden much at all over the past couple of months. Whoops.
But the great news is that today I was at my lowest weight ever. So despite cheating a bit last week, I balanced it out by stressing and being on the go. I’m glad it wasn’t a setback for me. I’m working hard on exercising every single day and watching what I eat, hoping to be down to 30 pounds lost total by the end of June. 🙂---------------
