My husband has been complaining about our mattress for the past year or so, claiming that his side is permanently indented and he’s always rolling to the center. His back bothers him and he’s been getting some restless sleep lately, so we decided to splurge on a Sleep Number bed. We debated a little bit over going with a Tempurpedic vs. the Sleep Number but after reading so many complaints about Tempurpedic beds running hot — we decided to stop in at the Select Comfort store and lie down for awhile.
The experience was pretty smooth, though the salesman didn’t even have to pressure us since we basically fell in love after we laid down in the bed. They have a bed hooked to a pressure-indicator machine that shows the outline of your body and the pressure points and helps you figure out your Sleep Number. Mine is 30 and my husband’s is 35. It took a few weeks for the bed to arrive but now…it’s here and I’m currently writing this blog post from the comfort of my zero gravity Sleep Number bed =)
We ended up going with the m7 model, which is their memory foam model. We opted for the split top so that we could adjust the height of our heads individually, which is pretty much amazing. Tonight we’ll be sleeping on this bad boy for the first time and if it doesn’t feel like a hug from a marshmallow then I will be very disappointed.
Expect a full review of the bed after a month or so of sleep. So far, it’s Boxer and Sigmund family approved!---------------
