I’m sitting here, still mad about how hyped up my horse was yesterday when I tried to handwalk her around the ranch. I’m remembering the days when I didn’t live in SoCal, when in Minnesota my horse would lounge out in a pasture all day long. The good ol’ days where I could come out once a week, grab my pony, and mount up without even needing to worry about lunging or turning out first. Ahhh, if only. So I found myself daydreaming and Googling to find some nice pasture images to make me feel even worse!
.) Those dramatic clouds. My goodness, does this look like a horse heaven or what?
.) Now, I’m not a fan of the barbed wire. I don’t think barbed wire belongs anywhere near a horse pasture. But that view…shut up with that. Could you even imagine?
). This one comes from Northern California, from A Horse for Elinor blog. Those wildflowers are just so gorgeous! Rosie would eat them all in a day.
.) This pasture in South Kazakhstan is dreamy. So much land for the horses to run on, and a beautiful view to boot. Who knew Kazakhstan was so gorgeous?
.) Can’t make a blog about horse pastures without mentioning at least ONE Kentucky horse farm, can I? Calumet is one of the most historical farms in Thoroughbred racing history having owned both Citation and Affirmed (the last Triple Crown winner). How picturesque!
.) This Napa Valley horse farm up in the Mayacamas Mountains shows how gorgeous Northern California really is.
.) Wildflowers, hills, and green as far as you can see in the Bavarian Alps.
.) Nothing steals my soul like fall colors. *swoon*
.) The always beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. That’s my future house, okay? =D
