Holy moly you guys. Things are starting to get very real, since my Bump app says that I’m 25 weeks & 5 days pregnant, with 14 weeks & 2 days to go. That means I’m a month away from being able to do a top 10 countdown NYE style. All of this would be 10x less scary if we had secured a new house to live in and closed escrow on our home for sale. There are developments on that front, but mostly nothing set in stone though so I don’t want to even jinx anything by talking about it here.
How far along: 25 weeks + 5 days. 14 weeks and 2 days to go until my due date!
How big is baby: Every app equates baby to a different fruit or vegetable, but this week he’s either a Napa Cabbage, a cauliflower, or a large cucumber. He apparently also weighs somewhere between 1.5 and 2.5 lbs, which doesn’t explain my 40 pounds of weight *I* have gained, but what can ya do. My app has basically stopped discussing development stuff because he has all his parts and pieces and is mostly just doing the growing thing, which is good. He can hear now, can recognize light from outside my belly, and he’s putting on fat so his skin isn’t quite as translucent. It’s all very scientific, you know.
Sleep: It’s getting harder. My stomach is large enough now that it’s getting in the way, and my back is super painful. I’m still using my Snoogle off and on and I’m thankful for our Sleep Number bed. I’m also sleeping way less soundly than usual and still getting up ~3 times a night to pee.
Maternity clothes: It’s literally all I wear. I have maternity tops, jeans, leggings. I am going to need to buy a maternity dress for my baby shower soon as well!
How I am feeling: Really great. This is definitely the best part of pregnancy, except the fact that my tailbone pain and sciatica is really bad. i’m super out of breath when I walk and I’m still having pretty bad round ligament pain if I’m not careful. But overall, I’m great.
Belly Growth: My belly is recognizably pregnant now. There’s no denying this one! I don’t even know what size I am because I’m in all maternity clothes and stretchy yoga pants. I still don’t have the linea nigra and my belly button has not popped out yet.
Still riding Rosie?: Nope. Two weeks ago was my last ride, and it was rough.
Movement:Real kicks now, near constantly, and Luke even got to feel them too! It’s really a wonderful (yet alien) feeling that I’m not remotely sick of yet. Though he has been kicking my cervix a lot lately, so I think he’s really low
Food cravings: Sugar. Everything sugar still. Starbucks Chai Lattes, cheeseburgers, milkshakes, cereal, yogurt, chocolate.
Food aversions: No aversions right now. I’m pretty good on most foods.
Missing: Cracking/popping/stretching my back by twisting, sitting down on the couch for long periods of time without being in pain, bending over easily, seeing my feet!
What I’m looking forward to: My first baby shower in just over two weeks! Weeee! =D---------------
